About Portal

Himachal Online Seva Portal (eDistrict) is a digital platform that seeks to simplify the government service delivery by offering a wide range of online services to the State's residents. It is aimed at reducing the time taken in applying for government services by visiting government offices through provision of online applications and digitalising the processing of applications in Departments so that citizens can receive services/benefits at their homes.

Recognising the issue of digital literacy, the Himachal Online Seva Portal is supported by a network of around 6000 Lok Mitra Kendras (LMKs) which help citizens apply for the services on the Portal at a nominal fee.

This portal provides access to essential government services like birth certificates, marriage certificates, land records, and more, making it easier for citizens to obtain vital documents from the comfort of their homes. As of now 217 services of 39 Departments are available through the portal. Additionally the online links of 75 services developed through other systems are also available on the Portal for easy and quick access by citizens. The Department of Digital Technologies and Governance is continuously working to increase the online services available through the Portal and make it a one stop shop for all online services offered by the State of Himachal Pradesh through API based integrations.
